Franchisee Success Story
Franchisee: Dine Link Inc
Franchiser: Chibo Co., Ltd.
I graduated from college in Japan and I had meals many times in Chibo restaurant in Ebisu, Tokyo during my school days. At that time, I was just a fan of Chibo but after graduation I decided to start a business in the Philippines and decided to become a franchisee of Chibo as part of my business expansion.
The Philippines is known in a pro-Japanese country and thus Japanese food has exactly its citizenship. Among Japanese foods, Yakisoba is a dish that everyone knows and it is not exaggeration to say that it is more famous than sushi or ramen.
The source culture of Japan has insidiously come to the point that every Filipino feels familiar with it. In the Philippines, Okonomiyaki is still positioned as a new Japanese food, but it can be accepted here by Okonomiyaki of Chibo that stands out from the others.
While spreading the source culture of Japan in the future, I am striving to expand some of the Chibo concepts in my country. Today, Okonomiyaki of Chibo which has a rich and delicious taste is being loved one after another by Filipino customers. In the immediate future, I plan to open another franchise restaurant of Chibo in 2017.
