Matsuya Foods, which develops "Matsuya", a beef bowl chain, is planning to open its first shop in Moscow this April. It is rare for Japanese fast food to expand into Russia, and this is the first expansion of beef bowl chains.

Matsuya Foods operates directly-operated shops in the United States, China and Taiwan, and Russia will be the fourth country to expand overseas. It also offers curry, ramen and tonkatsu and aim to open about 30 shops in the next five years, mainly in Moscow.
